1. Who this policy covers
Front Door Studio (“the studio”, “I”) is an independent web design and development practice led by Ivan, contactable at fanhui100@gmail.com. This policy explains what personal information is collected through this website and how it is used.
2. What information is collected
When you enquire by email, WhatsApp or the contact form, the studio receives the details you choose to share: typically your name, contact details, your business name and website, and the content of your message. The website itself does not require an account and does not collect payment details.
The website itself currently runs no analytics and sets no tracking cookies. Hosting infrastructure may keep standard technical logs—such as IP address and pages requested—to keep the site running securely. If an analytics tool is introduced later, it will be named here first.
3. How your information is used
Enquiry details are used only to reply to you, to prepare a quote and, if you become a client, to carry out the project. Your details are not sold, rented or added to a marketing list. You will not receive a newsletter because you asked a question.
4. Legal basis
For visitors and clients in the UK and EU, information is processed on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to your enquiry) and, for clients, the performance of a contract. Where consent is required—for example for any optional cookies—it will be asked for explicitly.
5. Who your information is shared with
Your information is not shared with third parties except the service providers needed to run the studio—the studio’s email provider (Google) and, if you choose to message on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta)—or where the law requires it.
6. How long information is kept
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within twelve months. Project records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations, then deleted.
7. Your rights
You can ask at any time what information the studio holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Write to fanhui100@gmail.com. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Cookies
This website is designed to work without tracking cookies, and none are currently used. If any cookies or similar technologies are introduced, they will be listed here with their purpose and lifespan first.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Significant changes will be noted plainly rather than hidden in revised wording.
